Listing methodologies without application
Saying you are Agile tells a hiring manager very little. Name the framework, the team cadence, and the delivery result. The same goes for tools: show what the tool was used to manage.
Project management resumes are easy to inflate and hard to prove. Anyone can claim to be organized. Hiring managers look for scope, budget, team size, methodology, and the specific outcome you delivered. The strongest resumes read like a short portfolio of projects, not a list of responsibilities.

What gets screened
These are the details that survive the first scan. If one is missing, the resume is read as a weaker match before anyone reaches the bullets.
Scope for each project: budget, team size, timeline, and the number of stakeholders or sites.
Methodology and tools: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, waterfall, hybrid, Jira, Asana, and Confluence.
Delivery evidence: on-time completion, budget variance, adoption, and risks resolved before they landed.
Cross-functional leadership across engineering, design, sales, vendors, and executive sponsors.
Example bullets
Replace the brackets with your own numbers. Keep the structure, and drop any bullet that does not match your experience.
Avoid these
Saying you are Agile tells a hiring manager very little. Name the framework, the team cadence, and the delivery result. The same goes for tools: show what the tool was used to manage.
Scope is the fastest way to signal seniority. A project without a budget, team size, or timeline reads like a task list. Add the numbers you can defend, even if they are approximate.
Standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives are the job, not the achievement. Keep the ceremony reference short and spend the bullet on what shipped or what changed.
FAQ
One page works for early-career project managers and coordinators. Two pages are reasonable for senior PMs and program managers with multiple large programs, especially when the second page carries distinct scope and outcomes.
Not for every role. If you have it, list it with the year. If you do not, show equivalent scope: budget owned, team size, and delivery record. Some employers filter for PMP, so check the job post before you apply.
Name the framework, the team size, and the cadence, then add the delivery result. "Ran two-week sprints for a nine-person team and raised on-time delivery from 62% to 88%" is stronger than "Agile practitioner."
Internal projects count. Describe the users, the budget, the systems, and the change instead of client names. If the work was confidential, use a category such as "a top-five retail client" rather than the name.
